Benefits of Turmeric
Dear friends u must have heard about benefits of turmeric. Yes it is true that it has profounding benefits.
Now we r already taking haldi as masala(spice) in our food/curries etc.It is a staple item in our cooking.
How did it come in our food.It is said that our wise sages centuries ago introduced this to cooking which not only made our food delicious but also made our health better.
Turmeric has numerous benefits.Even raw turmeric from the farm to powder form is consumed.
Apart from that turmeric is suggested to be taken with milk which helps in controlling cough and cold.
Consumption of turmeric is also done to lessen body pain too.
It is also applied externally on body.
With cold weather blowing use turmeric raw and extra with any liquid.
People affected by cold suddenly should be rubbed with turmeric heated in mustard oil and cloves of garlic.
If someone starts having ache in leg,say, it could most probably be due cold blast while driving or cold wind then rubbing his legs with the lotion will give him full relief.
People r suggested to take it with warm water if milk doesn't suit them or if it is becoming costly.
Atleast turmeric with warm water should be taken in the morning,this will keep you healthy throughout.
Turmeric works as antioxidant and antibiotic. It drives away rather detoxifies our body.So what better and cheaper remedy than this.
Turmeric Sweatmeat
During cold season raw turmeric is used to cook halwa(an Indian Sweatmeat) with other dryfruits(Dry dates-Chuhara,cashew nut,Kismis,ghee)consumption of which is done in one or two spoons which helps keep body warm and healthy.

Cooking method.
Keep Dry dates(Chuhara) in water for a night.Next day remove its seed and grind it in mixie.Similarly grind raw turmeric also.Now fry turmeric in Ghee then mix dry fruits in the paste with sugar.
This paste is preferably consumed in the mornings of winter.
This protects you from cold and cough, bodyaches, knee pain among other numerous benefits.
It is said that consumption of turmeric makes the difference between human and animal.
How ? Well animals small or big r universally poisonous be it a mosquito ant or any, but conversely humans aren't. Yes consumption of turmeric has made this difference.
Now domestic animals don't have this ,why, because they r fed with turmeric and jaggery after delivery of calves, for more milk creation.
You may ask what if snakes r fed with turmeric, it is said so they too will turn non poisonous.
Conversely, it is said humans will turn poisonous if they stop consuming turmeric.
Drawbacks
Sometimes consumption of turmeric may cause you with some constipation in that case mix Kumin(Jeera)in your drink.
